Operation Roundup – Small Change Changing Lives

Community

The Operation Roundup program, funded through the generosity of Amicalola EMC members, wrapped up its 2011 contributions with an impressive $32,835 in donations to charitable organizations and needy individuals in our local communities. This brings the total contributions for this year to just under $100,000. Since the program began in 1999, $1.5 million has been given back to area charities and individuals. All donations are used for food, shelter, clothing, health needs, education or specialty needs.

For pennies a month, usually less than the price of a candy bar, you too can help make life more comfortable for those less fortunate. Now is a great time for you to join the thousands of Amicalola EMC members who help provide these basic necessities. Call Member Services at 706-253-5200 to join those who “round-up” to help others and your small change will begin to change lives too.

Amicalola EMC provides electricity and related services to over 45,000 locations in Bartow, Cherokee, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Gilmer, Gordon, Lumpkin, Murray and Pickens counties.
