The Pickens Dragons started the 7-AAA regional tournament in impressive fashion on Monday night, taking care of the Southeast Whitfield Raiders and winning the game by the final score of 77-56.

Sam Crawford led the Dragons in scoring with 28 points in the victory. Following Crawford in scoring were teammates Austin Murphy and Wesley Easterwood, who finished the game with twelve and eleven points, respectively.

With the victory in the team’s opening game of the tournament, the Dragons’ next game will be played on Wednesday night at 7, when Pickens will play the Lafayette Ramblers.
