In 2008, the Pickens Sheriff’s Office began taking part in the CHAMPS program.
CHAMPS is an educational program designed to instruct Fifth grade students in various safety issues that include: drugs, the internet, All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and many more. Classes are offered at each Elementary School in Pickens County.
