Mr. “Earl” John Yawman, Jr., age 88, of Jasper, Georgia died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at his residence, following a period of declining health.

Born July 3, 1924 in Rochester, New York, to Earl Sr. & Verona Uhl, Mr. Yawman graduated from Rush High School in Rush, New York. He served in the Pacific in World War II as a radioman in B29s. Mr. Yawman began his professional career as Bulk Plant Manager and later did Territorial Sales for Exxon Corp. He married Geraldine Mason, who predeceased him in 1968. For many years he was a Dale Carnegie Sponsor in South Glens Falls & Hyde Park NY and later Lawrence, Mass. In 1969 he married Martha Hallenbeck Mahle and moved to Florida working for Floridian Oil Company in Orlando as Director of Training & Sales. From 1974 to 1991 he was an Account Executive & VP for Merrill, Lynch. He retired in 1992 to Lake County, Florida. Earning master hypnotist status, he also consulted and taught, founding the Florida Association of Hypnotists. In 2005 he moved to Jasper, Georgia.

Survivors include, his Wife, Martha Hallenbeck Yawman, of Jasper GA., his Son, Gregg M. Yawman, of Windermere, FL (Dardie), his Daughter, Tina Y. DiNatale, of Clermont, FL., his Son, Todd E. Yawman, of Jasper, GA., his Daughter, Cathy Y. Boyd, of Memphis, TN (Steve), his Step-Daughter, Lori Mahle Chambers, of Orlando, FL (Steve), his Daughter, Lisa J Yawman, of Cleveland TN., his Daughter, Susan Y. Durkin, of Woodstock, GA (Jim), his Beloved Sister Jeanne M Yawman, of Rochester, NY., 17 Grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 from the Tate United Methodist Church, the Rev. Louise Elmore will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tate United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 116, Tate, Georgia 30177.
