School Board Schedules Facilities Workshop and Called Board Meeting

These meetings will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper.The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a facilities workshop on Thursday, August 16, at 5:00 p.m. followed by a called board meeting. The board will review the Request for Proposal (RFP) from the transportation companies regarding driver outsourcing, discuss the FY13 budget, 2012 millage rate, and discuss a request for the use of the old JES gym by JYSA/City of Jasper Mayor Mr. John Weaver. During the called board meeting the board is expected to tentatively approve the FY13 budget and 2012 millage rate.
