Mr. Vernon “Bud” Chumley, age 66, of Jasper, Georgia died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his residence.Born August 12, 1946 in Dawson County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Garnett Chumley and Lula Simonds Chumley. Mr. Chumley worked as a crew leader for the City of Jasper.

Survivors include, his Wife, Patricia Chumley, Son and Daughter-In-Law, Wesley and Kelly Chumley, Daughters and Sons-In-Law, Angelina and David Collis and Christy and Norris Osborn, Sisters, Bernice Fountain and Vernette Jarrett, Brothers, Charles, Ronnie, Johnny, Donnie, Lawrence, and Randy Chumley, Grandchildren, Alyssa Chumley, Conner Chumley, Buddy Chumley, Leah Collis, Katie Collis, Aunts, & Uncles Betty Roland, Arthur Lee Simonds, Leroy Simonds, Mozelle Nickel, Nieces and Nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, September 7, 2012.

At his request, Mr. Chumley will be cremated following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Roper Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
