Mr. John Willard Pratt, Jr. age 74 of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away on Monday September 17, 2012, at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia, following a period of declining health.

Born August 17, 1938 in Montgomery, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Willard Pratt, Sr. and Frances Hornsby Pratt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Bette Mitchell Pratt. Mr. Pratt had worked as an administrative manager with Wachovia Securities and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include, DAUGHTER & SON-IN-LAW, Tracey L. Abbott and Rod Wade of Jasper, Ga.; SONS & DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, John Richard Pratt of Oakwood, Ga.; Charles Gordon and Tara Pratt of Gainesville, Ga.; STEP-DAUGHTERS & SPOUSE, Sharon and Phillip Bushman of Winchester, Va.; Nancy Walker of San Antonio, Texas; STEP-SON & SPOUSE, Michael and Evelyn Thomas of Tucker, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Terry Shane Abbott of Woodstock, Ga.; STEP-GRANDCHILDREN,Ryan and Sarah Walker of San Antonio, Texas; Billy Thomas, of Boston, MA; Lisa and Greg Gilbert of Tucker, Ga.; Michelle and Robert Lewis of Loganville, Ga.; SISTER & BROTHER-IN-LAW, Pat and Jack Kennedy of Kennesaw, Ga.;

At his request, Mr. Pratt was cremated and a Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Von J. Hinton will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, October 6, 2012, from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 225 Peachtree St., N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30303.
