Sheriff’s Office Releases Murder Suspect’s Name in Sharp Mountain Case

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office released updated information moments ago regarding the Sharp Mountain Murder case involving a 16-year-old suspect. Please see press release below.For immediate Release: November 26, 2012

The First Appearance of a 16 year old male was made today before a Superior Court Judge in the West Annex courtroom of the Pickens County courts. The juvenile was made advised of his charge of Murder. During the hearing, the Judge ordered that the juvenile undergo a psychological examination before continuing through the judicial process. He was also assigned a Court Appointed Attorney at this time.

Due to the nature of the charges and the fact that the juvenile is currently being charged in Superior Court, our office is releasing the information of the offender as:

· Name: Joseph M. Addis

· 16 years of age (born in 1996)

· He has been charged with Murder under the Official Code of Georgia (16-5-1).
