Mr. Charles Thurman Barnhill, age 71 of Jasper, Georgia died on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at his residence.

Born on Saturday, August 9, 1941 in Wilmington, North Carolina, he was the son of the Thurman Barnhill and Janie Pridgeon Barnhill. He was survived by his wife, Susan Cogswell Barnhill.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Appalachian State and his Master’s Degree from Virginia Polytechnic. He taught for 30 years at Montgomery College and was awarded the Silver Medallion for Excellence in Teaching.
