Mr. Radford Lanier Grant, age 72 of Jasper, Georgia died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his residence following a period of declining health.

The body remains at Roper Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and until the funeral hour on Saturday.

Born February 26, 1941 in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Radford M. Grant and Mary Cowart Grant. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Grant. Mr. Grant was a veteran having served in the United States Army, had retired after 25 years with J & J Industries in Dalton, Georgia and was a member of Jasper First Baptist Church.

Survivors include, HIS WIFE OF 52 YEARS, Shirley Kirk Grant of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTER & SON-IN-LAW, Diane and Scott Jackson of Jasper, Ga.; SON & DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, David L. and Jennifer Grant of Ringold, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Holden Jackson, Morgan Jackson, Mary Beth Jackson and Gavin T. Grant. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousin also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013 from the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kenneth Kirk, Rev. Chip Wilson and Rev. Robert Allen will officiate with the interment to follow in the Jasper City Cemetery.
