The Pickens County School Board gave awards to several students in the area of academic achievement during their school board meeting August 8. Receiving honors were Mason Adams of Hill City Elementary for a perfect score in reading; Karolina Kearns of Jasper Elementary for a perfect math score; Collin Kellogg, Hill City Elementary for a perfect score in reading; Elizabeth King, also for a perfect reading score from Hill City Elementary; Joah Massey of Tate Elementary for a perfect math score; and Jonathan Payne of Jasper Elementary for his perfect math score.
