Mr. Woodson Howell “Woody” Miller, age 78 of Ellijay, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 5, 1935 in Barrow County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Alvin Miller and Lottie Brooks Miller. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Cecil Miller. Mr. Miller was a United States Air Force Veteran, was a senior tool engineer at Lockheed-Martin in Marietta where he retired in 1989. Mr. Miller was a member of the Morganton Baptist Church.

Survivors include, HIS WIFE OF 56 YEARS, Helen Miller of Ellijay, Ga.; SONS & DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW, Timothy Howell Miller (Sandra) of Denver, CO; Barry Jonothan Miller (Terri Lynn) of Jasper, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Joshua and Carrie Miller, Nathan and April Miller, Jason and Kristy Miller, Jacob Miller and Amanda Miller; GREAT-GRANDSON, Maddux Miller; MOTHER-IN-LAW, Essie Lou Wilkins of Winder, Ga.; SISTER, Margaret Haymon of Carl, Ga.; BROTHERS & SISTERS-IN-LAW, Randolph and Faye Miller of Macon, Ga.; Alvin Miller of Stathem, Ga.; Stanley and Jenni Miller of Carl, Ga.; Mac Miller of Gainesville, Ga.; Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ron Rucker and Timothy Miller will officiate with the interment to follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday 8:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
