Melinda Smith, director of development for Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, reported today the charity raised $40,000 for their charity. We look forward to next year and hope you’ll attend to help raise the bar each year!
September 14 – A benefit for the Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center was held tonight at Lowe’s Barn. The “Hoedown” was well-attended with a variety of offerings for a wide range of tastes. Guests included Senator Steve Gooch, Representative Rick Jasperse, Board of Commission members and Jasper Mayor John Weaver.

Banks and Shane played live music to entertain guests. Among the offerings were pit barbecue, an open bar as well as silent and live auctions. Items auctioned included a low country boil, two Florida vacations, private wine tasting, many food items, household items, jewelry, Atlanta Braves tickets and gift certificates.

Sponsors were Foothills IGA Market, Jasper Jeep, Dr. and Mrs. Ken Austin, Jeff and Sandy Downing, Gene and Angie Higgins, Donald and Jane Wyeth, Piedmont Mountainside Hospital, Pepsi Cola of Ellijay, Sacketts Western Wear, Coca Cola Bottling Company, Day’s Chevrolet, Ed and Betty Delaney, Robert and Delane Lewis, Prestige Primary Care, Regions Bank, Renasant Bank, Rotary Club of Jasper, and Royston LLC. In-Kind sponsors were First Baptist Church of Jasper and Jasper United Methodist Church.
