Hill City Elementary held their first “Caterpillar Kids” program October 8 with twelve children and their families in attendance. The families and school staff had dinner and then the children worked in small groups with the kindergarten staff on pre-kindergarten skills.Parents received free materials and resources to help their children throughout the year to become better prepared for kindergarten in 2014-2015. The prospective kindergarteners work with teachers on skills that will be reinforced throughout the program.

Caterpillar Kids will meet again on December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. for dinner and our next session. All upcoming kindergarten students and their families are invited to attend.
