Mr. Joe Stanford, age 75 of Ellijay, passed away at his residence early Sunday morning October 20, 2013.He is survived by his wife; Barbara Stanford, son & daughter-in-law; Joe & Gail Stanford, daughters & son-in-law; Peggy & Jim Bethel, Makisha Nance, grandchildren; Angel Tillotson, Ashley Stanford, Cassandra Threldkeld, James Cody Bethel, and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5pm till 8pm and again on Wednesday from 8am until prior to the funeral hour.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm on Wednesday at the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Nelson officiating. The interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to ALS or the MDA.Cagle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Stanford Family.
