Mr. Calvin Curtis “Joe” Robinson age 73 of Jasper, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at his residence. Born June 17, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ruby Robinson, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Elyse Fuller Robinson, sister, Rose Marie and Stepfather, Bennie Walker. Mr. Robinson was a United States Navy veteran prior to working for Lockheed, Delta Airlines and a rewarding career as an Inspector for the F.A.A. and a Professor for the United States Department of Transportation F.A.A Academy in Oklahoma City Even after retirement he remained active serving on the Board of the Pickens County Airport Authority. His work took him around the world including Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico and Iraq. He lived an adventurous life and enjoyed sharing his experiences with others. He was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Jasper, Georgia.

He will be missed by all, but most by all who visited and touched him in the final days of his life, including Terry Collier, Terramani Collier, John Turner, Linda (Nina) Wildeveld, Pierre and Marcia Russell, Nita (Robinson) Clark and Sue Tennant. Other family members included; 5 Aunts, Christine (Robinson) Wright of Wrens, Ga., Leola Robinson of Fall River, Mass., Lorraine Robinson of Cleveland, Tenn., Linda Robinson of Trenton, N.J., Linda and Uncle Milton of Trenton, N.J., In-Laws including; Mattie Fuller, Lois Jones, Debra Brown, Gregory Fuller and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, Rev. Father Charles Byrd will officiate.

Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with military graveside rites by the United States Navy.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013.
