Mrs. Ruth Prather Burgess age 84 of Jasper who passed away Tuesday December 17, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Burgess.

She remains at Roper Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1-9 PM Wednesday.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Thursday at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Chris White, Rev. Josh Mulkey, and Rev. Jess Posey officiating. The interment will follow in the Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her Daughter, Pauline Kent, Jasper, Son, Stanley Burgess, Canton, Grandchildren, Tammy Massey, Jasper, Tonya Parks, Jasper, and Josh Parks, Dahlonega, 7 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, Brother, T J Prather, Jasper.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
