Mr. Thomas Spurgeon Dorris Jr., age 87 of Ball Ground, passed away on Monday morning January 7,2014 at his daughter’s home in Jasper. He is survived by his wife; Paula Dorris, son; Charlton Paul Green, daughters & sons-in-law; Linda & Ronnie Stovall, Karen Jackson, Natasha Green, Judy Lynn & David Holden, daughter-in-law; Mary Ann Dorris, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will accept potted plants or contributions to Sharp Mountain Fellowship Hall in Ball Ground.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5pm until 9pm. Memorial services are scheduled for 2pm on Sunday at the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Joey Byers officiating. The interment of Mr. Dorris’s cremains at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton will occur on a later date.
