Mrs. Martha “Janie” Kirk age 74 of Talking Rock, GA died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. Janie was born July 6, 1939 in Pickens Co. to the late Alfred & Bertha Parker.

She is survived by her Husband, Joe Kirk, Talking Rock, Son & Daughter-in-law, Bobby & Shonna Champion, Canton, Daughter & Son-in-law, Lesa & Keith Thomason, Jasper, Brother, Sidney Parker, Jasper, Sister, Buena Darnell, Nelson, Grandchildren, Jessica & Nathan Ledbetter, Jasper, Great-Grandson, Trace Ledbetter, Jasper, Sisters-in-law & Brothers-in-law, Shirley Grant, Jessie Godfrey, Marie & James Stevens, Kenneth & Kathleen Kirk, Hobby Kirk, Donnie Kirk, Norman Kirk & Bonnie Mulkey, several Nieces & Nephews also survive.

The Family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am until the Funeral Hour.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buck Parker & Rev. Kenneth Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Talking Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
