Pickens County Library has the following events on their schedule for March. For more information on any of the events, please contact the library at 706-692-5411.

Tuesday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m.
Are you interested in learning how to crochet, or would you like to share skills and ideas with others? Come join the weekly crochet group meetings led by a former library staff-member (you may attend either, or both meetings). All yarn-enthusiasts are welcome!

LEGOs at the Library
Tuesday, April 1st at 3:30 p.m.
Youth of all ages are invited to build LEGO masterpieces. All LEGOs are provided by the library. At the end of the Club, creations will be put on display in the library. DUPLO blocks will be available for our youngest patrons. Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Lapsit Story Time

Wednesday, April 2nd at 10:30 a.m.
Lapsit story time is designed for children ages 1-3.

Family Story Time
Wednesday, April 2nd at 3:00 p.m.
The theme is Use Your Outside Voice. Story time includes a craft project. All ages are invited.

Free AARP Tax-Aide

Thursday, April 3rd from 9:30a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Certified AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will help prepare federal tax returns free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60 and older.

BINGO

Thursday, April 3rd at 6:00 p.m.
Adults are invited to join us for an evening of fun playing BINGO. Participants can win small game prizes and enter for the door prize drawing at the end of the evening. Light refreshments will be served.

Friends of the Library program
Thursday, April 17th at 6:00 p.m.
The Friends of the Pickens County Library will host speaker Special Agent Dustin Hamby of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He will discuss the mission of GBI and the investigation of certain cases. Please make note of the time change. Previously Friends of the Library programs have been held at 7:00 p.m., however, please not that this one begins at 6:00 p.m.

eBook Class
Monday, April 21st at 2:00 p.m.
Are you new to eBooks? Did you just get a new Kindle or tablet? Come by the library for this introductory class on downloading eBooks from the library. Before attending, please make sure that your library card is up-to-date and that you have a library PIN number. Registration is required, and begins on April 7th.

Computer Basics: The Internet

Monday, April 28th at 2:00 p.m.
This workshop will provide a basic introduction to the Internet, including basic terminology and functions of the Internet Explorer browser, using search engines to find information and websites, evaluating websites, and ensuring online safety. Registration is required, and begins on April 14th.]
