Nelson City Manager Resigns

Featured Stories, News

During last night’s city council meeting, City Manager Brandy Edwards resigned her position of ten years. She had requested an executive session to tender that resignation but it was denied so she submitted it during the portion of the meeting allotted for her city report. She stated, “Enough is enough” and declined to “point fingers”.At that point the council did retire into executive session and once it was completed, Edwards left.

In her resignation letter she requested “Per the employee handbook the City will pay me for my three (3) weeks of accrued personal leave; I am requesting the council pay me for my twenty six (26) days of unused sick time and a severance pay.”

FYN will provide further information when it is made available.
