Noah Stapp, a student at Dawson County Middle School and the entrant sponsored by the Optimist Club of Jasper, will compete for $2500 at the Georgia District Oratorical contest.

The zone oratorical contest was held in Canton on March 20 and Noah beat all other male speakers, some of who were high school age. After winning zone he proceeded to compete at the area contest held in Canton on April 12. He now will be competing in Columbus, Georgia on Sunday, April 27 against other area winners from across the state. The winner of the male contest will receive a $2500 scholarship. The topic for all speakers is: “How My Passions Impact the World”. Members of the Optimist Club of Jasper are extremely pleased with Noah Stapp and the wonderful performance that he has given at all levels. We wish him much success at Columbus in two weeks.
