Wayne Cecil Cochran, age 78, of Jasper, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. Born February 23, 1936 in Nelson, Georgia, he was the son of the late Marion Hubert Cochran and Martha Ann Tatum Cochran. Mr. Cochran had worked in Research and Development with Lockheed where he retired in 1999. He was a veteran of the Georgia National Guard, member of the Marble Hill Masonic Lodge #207 F.&A.M. and was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Nelson, Georgia.

Survivors include, DAUGHTERS & SONS-IN-LAW, Sharon and Jerry Watkins of Ellijay, Ga.; Kay and Steve Lawrence of Jasper, Ga.; SON, Greg Cochran of Jasper, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Joel Silvers of Ellijay, Ga.; Michael Silvers of Ellijay, Ga.; Lauren Cochran of Jasper, Ga.; Jessy Tennison of Kennesaw, Ga.; and Nick Patterson of Jasper, Ga.; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, Logan Silvers, Cooper Silvers, Thomas Silvers and Cheyenne Silvers; SISTER, Joyce McGillis of Marietta, Ga.; BROTHER, Herman Cochran of Ball Ground, Ga.; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, with Masonic Graveside Rites by the Marble Hill Masonic Lodge # 207 F.&A.M. in charge.
Bojangles Romeo’s are ask to serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the Marble Hill Masonic Lodge # 207 F.&A.M., 102 McArthur Rd., Marble Hill, Georgia 30148.
