Bethany Salem Volunteer Fire Department Receives Improved ISO Rating

Chief Al Godin received a letter of confirmation from ISO that the district’s ISO (Insurance Services Office) has been reduced from a Public Protection Class 6/9 to a 5/5y effective September 1, 2014. ISO’s Public Protection Classification Program plays an important role in the underwriting process at insurance companies. All residences within Bethany Salem Fire District and within 5 road miles of one of the fire stations and 1000’ of a water source will be a class 5, and those within 5 road miles of a station with no water source will be a class 5y.

The volunteers at Bethany Salem would like to thank the residences in the community for their continued support of the volunteer fire department. We would also like to thank our Volunteers for the dedication to our community. If you are interested in joining our team- please come by the station any Monday night at 7PM.
