Pickens GOP Announces A Sizzling July Schedule

Politics

With the 238th birthday of America on July 4th and the run-off election for some key Republican candidates looming on July 22, the July 8th monthly County Committee Meeting is a call to arms for our Republicans who want to get involved and make a difference in the final planning and development of the “Push to the TOP Campaign” to be sure that Georgia stays Republican. To achieve this purpose, the monthly gathering will devote time to presenting updates from our precinct planning coordinator, Wil Bell. He will outline the strategy in place, the progress reports to date and any changes needed to achieve our goals. It is not to late for anyone who is interested to volunteer to help Wil with this project. This is the time for executive committee members to lead the group into the election cycle with a clear picture of our purpose. This is not the old Republican Party of yesterday! Conservative values and determination still are the best of America.

Steve Gooch

Senator Steve Gooch will also be at this meeting to update us on what the Legislature is studying concerning the potential for tax changes for us.

Wesley Tharpe

Wesley Tharpe of the Georgia Policy & Budget Institute, a recognized tax and economic policy analyst, will discuss some alternative ideas to meet the needs of the State’s growing policy economy.

The meeting will be at the Pickens County Administration Complex at 1266 E. Church Street in Jasper beginning at 7 p.m. Please put this on your calendar and join the discussions.
