Mrs. Emma Jean Mullins, age 73, of Union City passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mullins.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Jerome Purter, Tony Lamont Purter, and Fredrick Cameron Purter all of Union City; brothers, Jim Pye, Jr. of Nelson and Leon G. Pye of Decatur; sisters, Virginia L. Pye of Douglasville, Vivian Delores Chapman of Nelson, Sandra Diane Thomas of Atlanta, and April L. Pye of Douglasville.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 at Pilgrim Baptist Church with Reverend John H. Brown officiating. Mrs. Mullins will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Roper Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lake Forest Memorial Park.
