The Pickens County Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome new member Cora’s Country Diner to the Chamber and congratulate them on their Ribbon Cutting, held September 25th.Cora grew up in the kitchen watching her mama cook. She taught her a lot and especially how to make her biscuits. Her mama would always brag about how she was the only daughter that could cook like her and has followed in her mama’s footsteps with over 20 years’ experience in the kitchen.
While visiting her sister-in-law and brother they told her to find a place and let them know because they wanted to help her realize her dreams of owning her own restaurant. As she looked for a location she drove by a little place at the Tate 4-way and knew that was where she would begin her dream. Cora is thankful for everyone who has been a part of her dreams coming true and their show of support Cora’s Country Diner has received from family, friends and the Community of Pickens. Cora’s said “My mama is looking down and is so proud of me for making her biscuits.”
Cora’s Country Diner is closed on Mondays, open Tuesday-Friday 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM-3:00 PM (breakfast and grill orders only all day) & Sunday 7:00 AM-2 PM.
