“Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 7:21
Our Father, these words of Jesus cut across the grain of popular religious thinking today. Many feel that if they attend church, give token acknowledgement to you, and live fairly respectable live that they are bound to enter the kingdom of Heaven. How sobering it is to reflect upon our own power to deceive ourselves. May we understand that only “he that doeth the will of My Father which is in Heaven” shall be permitted to enter that wonderful abode.

Help us to do your will today: in Jesus name.
