Helen Frances Chatman, age 90, of Jasper passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Genesis Healthcare in Cartersville. She is survived by daughters, Beverly Hooks of Jasper, Andrea Johnson of Jasper; son, Cedric Dawson of Cleveland, Georgia; brother, Steve McClure of Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Patricia Davis of Cambria Heights, New York. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by sons, Reginald Chatman, Danny Chatman, and Steve Dawson.

A wake service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Roper Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church with Reverend R. S. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Norton Cemetery in Jasper.
