Mr. John Theodore Pagel, Jr., age 92, of Jasper passed away at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper Friday, January 10, 2015. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and Joe Elkins of Jasper; daughter, Jenny Pagel of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Bonny Pagel of Fairbanks, AK; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Jasper United Methodist Church with Reverend Hoyt Jenkins, Reverend Chip Wilson, and Reverend Al Larson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Roper Funeral Home.
