Mrs. Catherine Inez Gilbert, age 69, of Tate passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.

Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her husband, Branson Gilbert, and half-brother, Stanley Fountain.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Connie Gilbert of Tate; grandchildren, Kyle Gilbert of Tate, Kelsie Gilbert of Tate; half-sisters, Judy Coker of Canton, Sharon Barton of Roswell; half-brothers, Sanford Fountain of Ellijay, and Stacy Fountain of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Buddy Roper, and Reverend Harold Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery in Nelson, Georgia.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 and until the funeral hour on Thursday, February 12, 2015.
