Deputy Shoots Neighbor’s Dog

FetchYourNews has received information regarding an incident involving an off duty Pickens County Deputy that shot his neighbor’s dog. FYN spoke with Kris Stancil of the Pickens County Sheriff’s office that confirmed there was an incident involving an off duty deputy shooting a neighbor’s dog. Stancil told us,
“We have our internal investigation active at this time and Sheriff Craig has asked the District Attorney’s office to review the report as well to determine if they see need for further course of action. Until the internal investigation is completed we are not issuing any additional statements regarding the details though.”
The deputy is on paid administrative leave at this time. His name will be released on completion of internal investigation. Stancil also confirmed that this was not involving an agency issued weapon. FYN has also talked with the District Attorney’s Office that confirmed they will be conducting an independent investigation. FYN will continue to update as more information becomes available.
