O God of all mankind, we are in awe of Your greatness. We respect Your Holy Name. We are amazed that You could love us. We are dependent on Your mercy for the very breath of life. You are so pure and we are so impure. We can trust Your guidance for it is always right. Our relationship to You is more precious than wealth. Your Word brings sweetness to our souls.

May this person who pauses in a moment of reflection see the warnings in Your Word and experience the rewards in obeying them. Help us to teach our children and young people about the pitfalls of which the Bible warns us. So many young lives have no exposure to Your word at all through parental or church teachings. Grant that they may find their way to Your Word on their own through the guidance of the Spirit of Christ.
