After a great Retail MOB in February, the MOB Squads first “MOBBING” was at our first Church MOB. The purpose of our Church MOB is not only to hear the message the Pastor has to give but to also allow guests to hear of the outreach mission(s) that are being provided by our local Chamber Church Members. The Church MOBBED on March 22nd was Woodstock Church / Jasper located at 5335 HWY 53 West in Jasper. In addition to hearing a passionate testimony given by Johnny Hunt, local Paster Eddie Rhodes shared local church celebrations. Since Woodstock Church / Jasper launched their third service on Jan 18, 2015, they have seen 11 people saved, 12 people have joined their church and they have had 4 baptisms and are averaging 288 on our campus. In additional, several events are on the calendar that the community is encouraged to get involved: May 1-2 Women’s Weekend at their Main Campus, First Baptist Church Woodstock; June 1-5 Student Camp in Daytona Beach, FL with over 500 teenagers; July 6-10 Community Wide Vacation Bible School for K-5th grade. At this service, Pastor Rhodes was announcing the upcoming Easter Service where they would be offering 5 different times on two different days. During the two days, Woodstock Church / Jasper saw 3 people receive Christ, 5 recommit their lives and 4 joined the church. There was a total of 530 people on campus.

Only four days later, the MOB Squad hit again but this time at the Jasper Waffle House. Monica and her staff put together several specials for the MOBBERS. Approximately 15 people descended upon the restaurant at 11:30 a.m. for a great meal and a wonderful opportunity to network with others and boost the economy. Only a few weeks later, April 10th, the MOB moved to Main Street to The Quilt Shop on Main. “We had a really good turnout of customers. People seemed to really enjoy the demonstrations” stated Owner Karen Williams. “We really do appreciate the support of the Chamber of our small business.”

MOBBERS had the opportunity to mingle as well as to learn that the Quilt Shop doesn’t just sell the accessories to make a quilt, they can teach you the skills of “how to make a quilt.” They offer a variety of classes and will also be offering summer youth camps.
