Article submitted by Darla Huffman: Finally a spring day that felt like a spring day. The sunshine put a smile on everyone’s face and made them think of planting vegetables. They had come to the to right place. There were plenty of vegetable plants, big healthy ones in need of planting, especially tomato plants in many varieties.

All of the tomato plants Bunny and Gary Johnson had for sale were displayed with a picture of what the tomato would look like, what it was best for and its name, making it easier to make a decision. They ranged from Better Boy, a popular slicing tomato, to heirloom and canning varieties.

They are also a good source of information on growing tomatoes if you were interested. More plants, of the decorative landscape variety, were available from vendor and Master Gardener, Camille Morgan.

She has been in the landscape business for a long time and very knowledgeable about making the most of your yard. Her little dog is always with her and on this day she had a new dog carrier so she could carry her dog hands free while she sold plants.
