Barbara L. Ferguson, age 74, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at her home after a courageous fight with breast cancer. Barbara was born August 24, 1940 to the late John and Regina Lacz in Irvington, New Jersey. She married Robert L. Ferguson.

She is survived by brothers, John Lacz of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Fred and Jean Lacz of Wellington, Florida; nieces and nephews, John Lacz of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Theresa Bergens of West Palm Beach, Florida, Sandra and Del Benzenhafer of Lighthouse Point, Florida; grand-nieces and nephews, Ronald Oelerich of West Palm Beach, Florida, Del Benzenhafer, III of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Fred Benzenhafer of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Suzanne Benzenhafer of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Melanie Bergens of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Allen Benzenhafer of Lighthouse Point, Florida. Also surviving are Barbara’s tried and true friends that were there with her throughout her journey: Sherry Mishkin, Joann Adams, Pansy Gross, Terry Spriggs, Elaine Judge, Linda and Mario Lizaso, Marilyn Foshee, Mary Ann and Fred Walsh, Carol Johnson, and Jane Marocco.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Our Lady of the Mountains with Father John Conway from St. Anthony’s Parish in Blue Ridge officiating. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at Roper Funeral Home.
