This was posted via the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday at approximately 1:15 pm June 16th, 2015: If you are in the area of Camp Rd, the section between AW Lawson and the entrance to Days Chevrolet is closed. A dump truck was involved in an incident that pulled the power line across the road. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames.

Both occupants of the truck were able to escape the vehicle unharmed. The power company and Pickens County Fire Department are working to make the area safe at this time. According to Kris Stancil of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, it was a County dump truck near the county gas pumps. Power may be affected in this area for a while.
