Obituaries

Mr. Robert “Bob” Luther Johnston, age 85 of Tate, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Bob was the son of the late Hugh Lee and Sara Lou Johnston of Woodstock. He was a Veteran of the Air Force and Army and served in WWII and the Korean War. Bob was also a member of Tate United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at Cagle Funeral Home on Monday, July 18th from 8AM to 10PM and Tuesday, July 19th from 8AM until the Funeral Hour.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Reverends Bob Kerr and Ronnie Capes officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Tate.

Survivors include his loving Wife of 60 years: Rosemary Johnston of Tate; Son and Daughter-In-Law: Mike and Tammy Johnston of Talking Rock; Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Robbie and Larry Robbins of Kennesaw, Glenda and Terry Cagle and Celeste and Steve Swenson, all of Jasper; Brother and Sister-In-Law: Lynn and Doris Johnston of Dunwoody; Sisters: Pat Ray of Loganville and Sally Stach of Nashville, TN; Grandchildren: Chris and Ashley Robbins, Lauren Robbins, Beth and Justin Burgess, Nick and Mandy Stewart, Jim and Erin Morse, Ryan and Anne Case and Kayla Low; Great-Grandchildren: Isaiah Roberts, Julia and Lauren Case and Cade, Brecken and Livia Morse; Several Nieces and Nephews.

The Family will accept flowers or Donations to Methodist Children Home or American Heart Association.

Cagle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
