The Pickens High School Dragons wrestling team hosted the annual “Burnt Mountain Classic.” The traditional style tournament, where individual wrestlers compete for placing at their respective weight classes, featured 20 different teams, from as far away as Alabama, and as close as Gilmer County, and of course the host county, Pickens. The Dragons finished 15th with 71 total team points. Pickens placed four wrestlers: Dylan Nelson placed sixth at 113; JT Weyman placed fifth at 126; Matthew Devory placed fifth at 220; and Cameron Goss placed fourth at 285.
