IV. Consent Agenda
1. Adopted Resolution of the Pickens County Commissioner Amending the Pickens County Land Use District Ordinance (Ordinance #67) in regard to Parcel 044B-003 & 044B-003-004 (portions of each to be combined into one parcel) composed of 6.319 acres from Rural Residential (RR) & Agricultural (AG) to Small Agricultural (SA). Change requested by Lamar Cantrell and Larry Brown II. Property is located on Cove Road. (Amendment # 70).
2. Adopted Resolution to place on the November 2012 ballot the questions of Sunday package sales by retailers of both malt beverages and wine between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. to the electors of Pickens County for approval or rejection.
3. Signed Resolution rescinding the Resolution regarding beer and wine sales on Sunday.
4. Signed Proclamation designating the week of October 7 thru October 13 as Mental Health Awareness Week. .
5. Closed Insurance Premium Tax Account at Stearns Bank.
6. Adopted Resolution Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 3-3-7(p) and subject to a referendum to be held on March 19, 2013, or such other date as set by the election superintendent of Pickens County.
This Resolution shall authorize the permitting and regulation of package sales of malt beverages and wine by retailers on Sundays between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
The election superintendent shall call for the election for the purpose of submitting the question of Sunday package sales by retailers of both malt beverages and wine to the electors of Pickens County for approval or rejection.
7. Adopted Resolution that the policy entitled, “Policy to Make Services Accessible to Limited English Proficient Persons 2012” be adopted.
8. Signed Policy Statement stating that the EEPO short form has been reviewed and certifying the accuracy of the reported workforce data and Pickens County, Georgia’s employment policies.
9. Signed Memorandum of Intergovernmental and Interagency Agreement with Gilmer and Fannin Counties authorizing the joint submission of an application for funding under 2012-2013 drug control and system improvement formula Grant Program.
10. Signed Nondiscrimination Agreement between the Georgia Department of Transportation and Pickens County.
