Mr. Richard Laker, age 83 of Jasper, Georgia died Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Hospice Atlanta.

Mr. Richard Laker, age 83 of Jasper, Georgia died Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Hospice Atlanta.

Born on March 17, 1929 in Albany, New York, Mr. Laker was preceded in death by his first wife, Maynel Nelson Laker. Mr. Laker worked in the sign industry and was a member of the Talking Rock Baptist Church.

Survivors include, his Step-Daughter, Linda Welling, of Warsaw, IN, Grandson, Brian Welling, of Warsaw, IN, Great-Grandchildren, Melanna and Brynnah Welling, both of Ft. Wayne, IN, Ex-Wife, Angela Hughey Cash, her Grandchildren, Lewis and Kelly Acosta, and her Great-Grandchildren, Penelope and Melanie.

At his request, Mr. Laker was cremated.
