FYN received several questions about a double shooting on Jerusalem Church Road which is outside of the Jasper City Limits. After searching the Jerusalem Church Road area for a possible crime scene with no avail FYN contacted the Pickens Sheriffs Office for more information.

Fortunately for the citizens of Jasper and Pickens County, this reported crime actually did not occur. According to Pickens County Sheriff Office’s Public Information Officer Kris Stancil the alleged shooting took place in Jasper County and not the city of Jasper.
