T.A.R.G.E.T. Training for Harmony Elementary Parents
Dragon's Corner August 19, 2013
Below is a message from Harmony Elementary School principal Lynda Wallace about the school’s upcoming T.A.R.G.E.T. Night:Mark your calendars for Monday, August 26th. Training will be held at 5:30 p.m. for parents wishing to volunteer time during the school year. All parents are encouraged to attend T.A.R.G.E.T (Training to Appropriately Retrieve Grades from Each Teacher) night which will begin at 6:30 p.m.
T.A.R.G.E.T night will give you a better understanding of how to track your child’s progress. At Harmony, it is our goal to determine each child’s strengths and weaknesses and differentiate instruction to appropriately accelerate or remediate as needed. Targeting the areas of need for each student will ensure greater success in the classroom and on state-mandated tests.
On this important evening, we will also offer homework pass incentives for students and some giveaway items for parents who attend. This night is designed for our parents, so it is not necessary for students to attend.
