Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper announces the death of Mr. John B. Foust, Sr. age 81 of Jasper who passed away on Wednesday October 9, 2013 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Mr. Foust was a member of the Jasper First Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Air Force. Later he worked at the Lockheed Corporation where he retired after 40 years of service. He was a master mason and a member of Pickens Star Lodge #220 F&AM. He also worked as a DJ at WYYZ Radio here in Jasper and operated HAM Radios since 1947.

He is survived by his wife of over 61 years Wilma Berry Foust, Jasper, Children, Rayfondia & Steve Henderson, Jasper, John Foust, Jr. and his wife Cindy, and Harold Duane and Carol Foust, Jasper, Sister, Louise Everett, Acworth. 6 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Lee Henderson.

Funeral Service will be 11 AM Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Jasper First Baptist Church with Dr.Charlie Boggan officiating. The interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with full military rites by Pickens Chapter #47 DAV. Mr. Foust will lie in state at the Church from 10 AM until the funeral hour.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday 2-8 PM.

They request in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Jasper First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
