December 30, 2013:
Pickens County is suffering a tragic loss this morning after a wreck last evening took the life of a young bride. Kali Shay Dobson, 25, of Ball Ground died on Highway 5 near her hometown after being thrown from her husband’s vehicle shortly after the wedding party concluded at Wheeler House, sources say.
Dobson and Ryan Patrick Quinton, 27, of Jasper had exchanged vows earlier yesterday afternoon and left the party in his Firebird. Quinton swerved to avoid a dog when he lost control and the vehicle left the road, overturning and ejecting Dobson.
Quinton was treated and has been released from Northside Hospital in Cherokee County. Charges are pending but what they could be has not yet been determined or provided.
