Mary Sue Massey, age 68, of Jasper passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her home. She was born November 12, 1946 to Madison and Effie Denson in Pickens County. She was retired from the US Postal Service.

Mary Sue is survived by her husband, Tommy Massey of Jasper; daughter, Melissa Massey of Pine Lake, Georgia; sister, Joan Anderson of Jasper; aunts and uncles, Gladys and Grady Cagle of Jasper, Jason and Glyndon Robinson of Jasper, Annie Chapman of Jasper, Ruth Gibson of Jasper; and special nephew, Kenny Anderson. Several other family members also survive.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Massey; sisters, Sarah Mulkey, Nell Denson, Brenda Denson; and brother, James Denson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery. The Class of 1964 will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015; from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
