Mr. James George Edmondson, age 92 of Nelson, Georgia, passed away in Nelson, Georgia, on Thursday, December 17, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Holcomb Edmondson of Nelson, Georgia; and his son, JL Edmondson of Atlanta and Jasper, Georgia; his granddaughter Kelley Edmondson Beiboer,her husband and 2 children; and his granddaughter Alexandra Edmondson Martinez, her husband and 3 children; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the devoted son of the late Anson and Ellen Edmondson of Canton, Georgia, and a loving brother to his late brother and sister, J.D. and Juanita.

Funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 4:00pm, on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Cook officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Boy Scouts of America.
