Mr. Mark Thacker, age 57, of Tate passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his home. He was born January 20, 1959 to June and Travis Thacker in Tate, Georgia.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Travis Thacker. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Jason Patterson of Jasper; mother, June Thacker of Tate; grandson, Ryker Patterson of Jasper; brothers and sister, Mack Thacker of Jasper, Chad and Amy Thacker of Jasper, Phyllis and JJ Girard of Jasper. Several other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny McPherson and Reverend Don Cagle officiating. Interment will be at Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Zachary Thacker, Tyler Girard, Tyson Childers, Jamie Fann, Ed Parmer, and Charlie Jarrett.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 and until the funeral hour on Saturday.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
