Mary Louise Chumley, age 88, of Jasper, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Pruitt Health in Jasper.  She was born March 10, 1928 to Dallas and Mabel Free in Jasper.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Paul Crowe of Tate, Wanda Sue and Jim Hunt of Jasper; grandchildren, Scott Caylor of Jasper, Alan Caylor (Tara) of Canton, Jeff Smith (Amy) of Jasper, Sheri Crowe of Tate, Greg Crowe (Latisha) of Ball Ground, Jimmy Hunt (Lisa Marie), Gary Hunt (Brandy); several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Helen Free, Billy Free, Max and Pauline Free, Leon and Faye Free; sister, Marcelle Thacker; and several other family members.

She was preceded in death by husband, Carl Chumley; daughter, Mary Carol Prather; granddaughter, Cindy Caylor Brown; son-in-law, Donald Lee Prather; grandson, Thomas Carl Smith; and great-grandson, Keith James Brown.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Jerusalem Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Caylor, Reverend Buddy Roper, and Reverend Bobby McFarland officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday; from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday; and 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
