Jimmy Frank Carter, age 81, of Bent Tree passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at his home.

Jimmy was born May 5, 1935 in Dawson County to Frank and Macie Carter. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Carter; mother, Macie Carter; children, Denise Strong (Mark), Dwayne Carter (Debra), Demetra Bailey (Charlie), Daryl Carter ( Deborah), Scott Jordan (Sherry), Lisa Sherman, Mark Jordan(Lisa), sister, Sadie Cato, brother, Steve Carter, 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Fellowship Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Ben Laughlin officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30pm at GA National Cemetery in Canton, Ga with military honors by the United States Air Force.

The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
